Meet the Dietitian/Nutritionist:

Carol Sheffield Lapin is a Registered Dietitian and Exercise Specialist, and is a Certified Sports Specialist in Dietetics. She is a former All-America track athlete who attended the University of Texas in Austin on a track scholarship. Carol has a Masters degree in Nutrition and Food Sciences, in addition to an undergraduate degree in Physical Education from The University of Texas.

Carol has been a practicing R.D. since 1990. She spent 10 years as the staff Dietitian for The Houston Astros Baseball Club and was an Adjunct Professor in Nutrition and Exercise at Texas Woman's University in the Medical Center.

Mrs. Lapin provides presentations and weight-loss/nutrition classes for corporate clients, and she is a well-known speaker on the topics of nutrition and wellness. She is Co-Chair for the Cardiovascular & Wellness nutritionist segment of the practice group SCAN for the American Dietetic Association.

Ms. Lapin lends her expertise to teachers and students in school districts in the Houston and surrounding area and receives referrals from several physicians in the Memorial Hermann Medical Center.
