Services and Cost:
Nutrition Consultation: The latest information available from The American Dietetic Association is used along with information gathered from the client to improve the participant's diet. Anthropometrics measurements will be taken and it may be advisable for the participant to have an analysis of the diet performed based on food records. Appropriate handouts are supplied.
Weight Loss Package: The client meets with the R.D. once a week for 6 weeks. Each week is a different topic to help the client meet his/her dietary goals. The second visit includes a grocery shopping tour. On the third visit the participant will begin an eating plan tailored for him/her. Other visits include a discussion on dining out and fast food, eating on trips and during the holidays, the psychology of eating and incorporating regular exercise into your daily routine.
Grocery Shopping Tour: Get a personal tour of the grocery store. Learn to read food labels, get ideas for meals and snacks, and receive great recipes and informative handouts.
Eating Healthy in College : College students can make it through college without gaining weight! Learn how during this 90 minute of instruction and cooking. See what to put in that mini-refrigerator and what to order at cafeterias and fast food joints.
Cost of Services:
- Nutrition consult: $75.00 per hour, $60.00 for 45 minutes, and $45.00 for 30 minute visits.
- Weight Loss Package: $400.00. Once you have completed
a 6-weeks course, all future visits are $35.00.
- Grocery Shopping Tour: $100.00. Tour last 90 minutes.
- Eating Healthy while living the college life: $100. Session is 90 minutes
- Group Presentations: $500.00 per hour for local presentations.
Description of Group Presentation:
Group presentations are tailored to meet the needs of the audience. Previous presentations have been for Professional Athletic teams, such as the Houston Astros (locally and in Florida), focusing on sports nutrition and for companies such as Gallery Furniture. Other clients for group presentations on nutrition include both students and adults in the Spring Branch School District and in the Austin area.
Corporations are often interested in benefiting from the type of nutrition information offered by a nutrition professional that may help reduce their employees risk for diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disease and diabetes.
